Make the service understandable

A visitor should be able to identify the business, understand its services and find a real contact route. Consistent names, useful answers and current information help make a page worth finding. Remove unsupported results and do not present a proposed service as a client case study.

Check the ordinary search foundations

Review important URLs, page titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, internal links, robots controls and the sitemap. Publish only pages that should be discoverable. A preview site should have a deliberate indexing policy, while production changes should be checked for their effect on existing discovery.

Use structured data accurately

Structured data should describe the visible page and verified business facts. It cannot create evidence for a telephone number, rating or service result. Google's guidance says there is no special schema markup required for its generative AI search features. No markup or discovery file guarantees an AI citation.

Measure what can be observed

Use the search tools available to the business to monitor visibility and visits over time. Keep dated records of changes and separate observed results from predictions. Answer Engine Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization are common labels for this work; this guide does not promise that a search engine or assistant will recommend a business.
